"Bridging" Life & Lifestyle - February 2018

Parkview on Peachtree Bridge

The Parkview on Peachtree vehicular bridge, designed by York Bridge Concepts, is very much reminiscent of Chamblee’s industrial railway heritage and features exposed joints and custom hardware. The 83-foot vehicular bridge soars 20 feet from the ground with two structural towers. Also, it boasts a 12-foot truss and juts an impressive 30 feet into the air at the very top. Whether crossing over or under the bridge on Chamblee Trail, visitors are in for a memorable experience.

Portion of Chamblee Rail Trail to Remain Temporarily Closed

March 29, 2016 – CONNOLLY, developers of Parkview on Peachtree, announced today the Chamblee Rail Trail section from the ball park to the tunnel under Peachtree Boulevard will remain closed due to construction. Unfortunately, the delays are due to weather and unforeseen utility relocation issues.

With public safety in mind, pedestrian fencing and signs will remain posted at each end of the trail to notify pedestrians of the closure until further notice. Once complete, the new section of the trail will be available for pedestrians.

Temporary Closure of Chamblee Rail Trail

December 18, 2015 – CONNOLLY, developers of Parkview on Peachtree, will implement a temporary closure of a portion of the Chamblee Rail Trail for construction work beginning on or around December 27.  The closure — which is necessary to allow completion of needed utility and trail relocation — will affect the trail from the Keswick Park softball field to the tunnel under Peachtree Boulevard for approximately 90 days depending on weather, at which time the new relocated section of the trail will be put in place.

Fencing will be installed for the safety of pedestrians and signs will be posted at each end of the trail to notify pedestrians of the closure.
